The Clubhouse has it name from a pool in my homeriver Skøelva. This pool is at sea-level and is therefore affected by the tide. On low tide the seatrout often gather there and get into a feeding frenzy on the large gammarus crustaceans. On these occations this fly has more than once saved my day. I have even found this to out-conquer the more realistic gammarus imitations.

Hook: Double Salmon, size 8 - 12

Thread: Black or olive

Tail: Golden Pheasant crest

Ribbing: Flat gold tinsel

Body: Olive sealsfur, picked out well

Hackle: Partridge

Wings: Mottled turkey or dark peacock wing
