The Gold Mohair Pupa is like the Faux Killer Bug another great subsurface fly that has produced well for me both in lakes and in rivers. It is a good imitation of the rising caddis pupae. Feel free to add extra weight by wrapping copper or lead wire to the hook shank if you want the fly to go deeper.
