This is a an old classic and a very effective fly for seatrout when it comes back into the rivers. On bright days with clear water this fly is often a safe bet, but it just as well worth a try during both cloudy days and during the twilight hours as well.

Tail: Golden Pheasant tippet fibers
Ribbing: Silver Wire
Body: First 2/3 of flat silver tinsel, rest of red sealsfur
Hackle: Black
Wings: Teal
