Red Tag Emerger

This is a most effective pattern for the springtime fishing. Personally I'll recommend the size 15 as a good all-round fly in early season.

Hook: Tiemco TMC 212Y size 13 and smaller. Tag: Red wool yarn Body: Stripped peacock quill Wingcase and wing: Tiemco TMC Aero Dry Wing medium dun Thorax: Peacock herl Hackle: A darkish dun, or very dark grizzly, sligthly short fibered and trimmed well above and below.
