The dryfly Dyret is well celebrated among many Scandinavian fly anglers, and originally it was tied with more natural colors, like brown, grey and olive, to imitate caddis and stoneflies. The originator of Dyret was Gunnar Bingen.
I have found a black variant of this classic pattern to be a real effective fly, and I have even made trout that wasn't rising come up and take this on the first cast.
