You can never go wrong with a green fly. This pattern is another good all-round for both grilse and seatrout, and even in lakes this fly is worth a try. I have found this fly to be particularly effective for seatrout when big caddisflies are on the river late in the season. I do believe this as well has another name, same as the Turkey & Red.




 

Turkey & Green



Hook: Double Salmon, size 6 - 12

Thread: Black

Tail: Golden Pheasant crest

Ribbing: Flat silver tinsel

Body: Highlander green sealsfur

Hackle: Black

Wings: Mottled Turkey
